Sidney Packard
they/them, she/her
Sidney Packard is an alternative electronic pop musician that utilises infectious hooks, dark synth-driven production and theatrical live performances. Their tracks are often conceptual, for example 'Krueger' being inspired by Freddy Krueger and 'Nightmare' being inspired by Nightmares Sidney had. Sidney is also proudly transgender and weaves their love of their queerness in their work throughout.
what does still here mean to you?
"Still Here" means to me being myself in spite of so many people wanting me to live inauthentically and to shame me into living in a way that is not honouring my true self. They want the queer part of me to be hidden and to be shamed out of existence but I will not let that happen, I will not disrespect myself like they want me to. I will make art in rebellion of their wishes because I love my queerness because I love me.
