Mel Reeve

Mel Reeve is an award-winning writer and archivist based in Glasgow whose work explores identity, history, and LGBTQ+ lives. Her short stories have won the Glasgow Women’s Library Bold Types Prize (2020) and the Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival Grand Jury Prize (2024), and have been shortlisted for several awards, including the Alpine Fellowship Writing Prize. Her work has been published by Gutter magazine, 404 Ink, The Skinny, Autostraddle, DIVA, and elsewhere, and she is a columnist for Mslexia. She is an editor at Fear of Making Art Press, founder of the Bi History project and host of the Bi History podcast.

Like an ancient standing stone or buried archaeological relic, LGBTQ+ people have always been part of the landscape of our world. We exist across time and culture, and our existence is something to celebrate.
