Lizzie Greggs is an up-and-coming multimedia artist who uses their work to communicate the perspective of the people and advocate for a better future. She wants to share the voices of the shunned and simultaneously uncover the world behind the directing headlines that distract us from what's important. Their work is for the people, showing the importance of pride and showcasing the complexities of being a part of the LGBTQIA+ community in our present-day society. They use their ideas and work as a pathway into becoming a well-rounded person, using common household objects as a stepping stone to building expressive and often political art.
what does still here mean to you?
We cannot be broken because when everything else is built on fear, we are built on love. Our names are remembered, and we cannot be forced into an apathetic statistic forgotten in the Sunday paper. While they fight to erase us, we will always be here as witnesses and advocates of freedom to simply be ourselves. When forced to hide or flee, there'll always be someone willing to stand up for what's right. We're here. We've always been here. And it's up to you (not us) to get over it.
