kitti from Glasgow is a jazz/soul singer-songwriter. Her emotive music and lyrics are both timeless and powerful. Mixing sounds from funk, jazz and soul influences. kitti has been winner of Best Vocalist at Scottish Jazz Awards '20 + '22 and her debut album "Somethin' In The Water" was nominated for the Scottish Album of the Year award in 2025. She's supported artists including Rod Stewart, Hue&Cry, Mavis Staples and Van Morrison.
what does still here mean to you?
"Still here" recognises queer history and the fact that LGBTQIA+ people have ALWAYS been around within society. Our visibility has gotten so much better in the past couple of decades, but there's still so much work to be done. Many hundreds of thousands of brave queer people that have been brave enough to fight for what they believe before us, need us now to follow in their footsteps.
