Eibhlín Parish
she/her

Eibhlín Parish (She/Her) is an Edinburgh-based multidisciplinary artist and writer from Dublin. Her work is shaped by her experience growing up in a too-slowly changing Catholic Ireland, and explores themes of discovering a sense of self, navigating relationships, and ultimately, rebirth. In her short essay Creation, Eibhlín unearths the smothering reality of compulsory heterosexuality and the freedom a queer life offers. Her broader portfolio includes Last Christmas (Dyke News Scotland), which confronts painful family dynamics and the complex struggle of returning home. Currently, Eibhlín is experimenting with diverse writing styles as she builds a new short story collection, capturing the journey of queer self-discovery.
what does still here mean to you?
Still Here means rebirth to me. The endless younger years feeling trapped and stuck in a life that didn't feel right. Being able to emerge into joy and love and community and friendship and freedom. I am still here and the life I live now, I am so glad I persevered for.
