Flos Collective is now accepting submissions for our upcoming short film screening, Iris - an immersive evening showcasing the work of Glasgow-based women, trans and gender-diverse people. There is no set theme for this event!

This event is a part of our debut arts festival, SPLINTR.

About the night:

Where: The Alchemy Experiment, in the downstairs space

When: The evening of Saturday 11 October 2025

This is a paid opportunity. Each participating artist will be offered a £50 fee for their time and participation in the event.

As part of the event we will be running a Q&A in between films to give filmmakers a chance to discuss their work with the audience. There will be approximately 2 hours of screening / Q&A time and then one hour to mingle with other filmmakers.

Guidelines:

Who can apply: Women, trans and gender-diverse artists (non-binary, gender-fluid, gender non-conforming). You can apply as an individual or as a group.

• Films must be less than 30 minutes in length.

• You can submit a film whether you were the director/producer/actor/composer/DP

• You can submit multiple films, please fill out separate forms for each film.

• You must be able to attend the screening night 11/10/25 - we cannot accept applications from those who are not available for the event.*

• Priority will go to Glasgow-based filmmakers, however if you are able to travel in for the evening, we will consider others - we cannot cover travel costs in this instance.

*This event is a paid opportunity for artists to share their work and take part in the Q&A  at the event. We created Iris as a space for film makers to have the space to talk about and share their work in a relaxed, welcoming environment; which is why attendance is mandatory for application.
