Metamorphosis

Stifled, stuck between a rock and a hard place
Caught in a rut.
Compression, pressure and much depression.
There's so much to feel I could explode
But we've been here before, I'll burst into specks of crystallised gold.
It is a labyrinth, a divine tunnel.
Every corner reveals piece you need to succeed.
Explore, experience, see and believe.
To become who you need to be, shred your old self.
Sometimes you'll be in the heights of heaven, but you also need to tread the depths of hell.
No one actually has your best interests at heart.
When you reach an opportunity you never thought possible.
Foes alongside friends, might wish for it to split you in half.
But what if I'm made of a material that's unbreakable.
Faith in myself.
Unshakeable.
You'll be lonely and hollow,
When you show a single sliver of sadness
When you're lost in your own shadow.
They say solitude is a path you walk alone.
But now I've come out the other end.
The people who I walked with before have branched off.
I've paved my own path now.
