We can’t believe it… in less than a week we’ll be opening the doors to SPLINTR Festival - our first ever festival as Flos Collective CIC.
What started as a scrappy idea over cups of tea (and too many late-night voice notes) is about to become four full days of art, music, film, workshops, conversations and community. And we honestly couldn’t be more excited.
What we’re feeling right now
A mix of:
Buzzing - because we finally get to share what we’ve been cooking up for months.
Stressed – because the to-do list never ends (shoutout to spreadsheets and caffeine).
Grateful - because SPLINTR exists thanks to the support of our community, our crowdfunder backers, and every single artist who said yes to being part of it.
Why SPLINTR Festival matters
SPLINTR isn’t just another festival. For us, it’s a space to:
Celebrate women, trans + gender-diverse artists in Glasgow
Platform grassroots creativity that doesn’t always fit into the mainstream
Bring people together across art forms, disciplines, and communities
Create joy, care, and connection in the middle of a world that often feels pretty splintered (pun intended 👀)
What’s coming up
Over four days you can expect:
ENYA 3.0 exhibition opening with live performances by members of our community and the incredible Terra Kin
Late night events with awesome DJs at BREAKLINE and our closing event
Short films at IRIS Night
Panels, workshops, and community meals
A closing night that brings it all together
Head to our website for the full programme
See you there?
If you’ve already grabbed your ticket - thank you, we can’t wait to welcome you. If not, now’s the time! Get your tickets here! Bring a pal, come for a night, come for the weekend - whatever you can manage. Every body in the room makes SPLINTR what it is.
We’ll be sharing more behind-the-scenes bits all week, so keep an eye on here and our socials. And then, in six days, we’ll see you on the dancefloor / at the screening / in the workshop circle.
✨ SPLINTR is nearly here. Let’s do this.
